Córdoba Residential Building

Mixed steel structure (steel and composite deck slab) for a 7-storey residential building in the historic centre of Córdoba, with the space constraints typical of an urban intervention.

The challenge

Erecting the structure on a site with very restricted access, within a protected environment and with no possibility of using a conventional tower crane.

Our solution

Prefabrication of optimised structural modules for transport and lifting with a self-propelled crane. Close coordination with the site management team to adapt the assembly sequence accordingly.

Results

• 7 floors plus roof level
• 150 tonnes of steel structure
• Bespoke metalwork on staircases and handrails in common areas
• Structural assembly programme: 10 weeks
